"Flexibility is great in that you can just come to campus to teach. But that also means you have no place to meet with studnets (most adjuncts get a one hour of office time a week, a time not of their choosing)."

"The problem is bigger than one manager. The structure of the job is you are an outsider, stepping in -- adjunct literally means "not essential"-- and that is how it feels."

"Be prepared to advocate for yourself. Georgetown has a great deal of bureaucracy and the office politics can get quite tiring. "

"Overall a great place to work. But can depend on your department. Maternity leave is only short term disability. "
