"It's a competitive environment and promotions here are one of the toughest. People leave Gilead often too, so it's not uncommon for senior leaders to reorganize teams or to have a new boss every 1-2 years. It's unfortunate that many people consistently "prove themselves" to new bosses over and over, which leads to the competitive environment."

"Again overall Gilead Sciences is great place to work for women. My biggest complaint is they operate on some antiquated ways of doing things that are just not effective today. They are not flexible in allowing employees (at least those of us in sales) to achieve goals the way we see best. They tell us exactly how they want us to achieve these goals which many times is less effective."
