"Find a mentor. Engage in ERGs and GM Women. I find that there isn't a lot of guidance or understanding of women between 30-38 and mid career. Mostly because there doesn't seem to be a lot of women that I work with in this age group. They are mostly managers or new college grads. I think this is because GM has a fairly traditional career path with a heavy engineering focus. So there might not have been a lot of female engineers, that with the lack of jobs when I graduated from undergrad."
