"As a young, female employee I have had several men speak down to me. I have also witnessed several male employees speak about female employees as if they are not with them on a call, which is quite rude. I think there are definitely women here who struggle to have a voice."

"An undercurrent of misogyny exists at this company. Since many have spent their entire career at Kohler, the rampant sexism does not even register for those who are victims of it. There are some amazing women in C-level positions and some in director-level positions that inspire, but not enough. Many of the day-to-day female managers are entrenched in and contribute to some of the sexism through their fearful actions and by jockeying for position against their female peers. Overall diversity lacks and the company has indicated it wants to make changes on this front, but only time will tell if this is just lip service."

"Men are far more likely to be mentored, invited to key meetings and "groomed" for leadership roles at Kohler--and it is exclusive in certain divisions. Kohler's approach to improving diversity seems to be looking to the outside to hire it, rather than recognizing the incredible talent that has been overlooked among the existing female associates. If you are early in your career and pick the right division, you can get some great experience, but if you want to advance to leadership, leave for a more progressive company as soon as you see less qualified men getting promoted past you."
