"My manager was a female super hero, I started as a confused graduate very shy and unsure of myself. My manager challenged me and raised me up constantly recognizing my efforts to the department and management team. As she was promoted and became less hands on she was sure to maintain a mentor relationship with me and helping me when I decided to take a career break to go traveling."

"Their maternity leave policy desperately needs clarity and updating. It is very confusing (especially for commission based employees). "

"Less than 5% of the Sales Leadership (Regional Mgr, District Mgr) are women! Over 80% of the sales reps are also men. This is a white male dominated company. Especially in the MITG- AST business unit. When you apply and interview for a promotion, you will ONLY be interviewed by MEN. You can be more educated, qualified and successful yet still be told you aren’t the right “fit” for a job promotion. Strong, highly qualified women are perceived as a threat in this company.
Medtronic CEO claims to have a goal of 40% female leadership by 2020. There are no substantive actions being taken to make this a reality. There is zero support for this from the field sales leadership. HR says their hands are tied and they can’t “force” anyone to promote a women, regardless of how qualified. "

"Maternity leave was reduced to 5 weeks. Plus, you now lose any commission on sales/orders that come in while you are on leave. I could not afford to take any maternity leave as a result. I only took one week of vacation so I wouldn’t lose my commissions. Could not afford it!!!"
