"It depends on which local office you work for. It’s a very old company with old norms (women were always working in admin positions, men were reps overwhelmingly) but NM were making efforts to make more diverse hires. Benefits weren’t great because even though you worked for a huge company, if you worked in a field office it’s like working for a small family company. "

"Northwestern Mutual is an incredible place to work! The flexibility and work-life balance is a huge plus for a working mom like myself. As a new employee, everyone has been very welcoming and helpful. I'm so impressed with the D&I strategies the company has in place and the way NM is helping all of the communities they are in. "
"There is a huge need for women to become financial advisor's in the world we live in today- in 4/10 households women are the breadwinners and only 16% of the Financial advising force on women. Women need an advisor who can relate with them and understand their needs. I would encourage more women to look at the industry and understand the NM is leading the way in creating an inclusive culture that promotes work-life harmony. "
"Absolutely one of the best places to start your career!"
