"Prepare to commit to yourself for five years; prepare to sacrifice time. Set up a support system--ask your partner/family/posse to help you (Actively! Not just cheer you on!) Don't let having a child be the reason for not succeeding--make him/her the WHY you are succeeding. (That's going to require creativity.)
NM is only now learning to support women. But that doesn't mean it discriminates. NM will flex for you if you commit to bringing the goods in your efforts to learn, credential, and produce."

"Financial advisory is, by its definition, both highly flexible and NOT conducive to work/life balance. Starting is hard work and then some. That means long hours. But the methods by which you achieve success are your own; the creative ideas are there; and nobody is going to say there's only one way to succeed and provide value to clients."

"I love so many things about working at NM. I have the flexibility to run my schedule and be present where I want to be present and I can earn as big of an income as I want. I’m intellectually stimulated and constantly growing. Our work culture is amazing and incredibly supportive. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. "
