I would tell her that upper management needs some serious lessons in how to treat female staff members, and not to expect a promotion or serious advancement opportunities unless she works twice as hard as her male countrparts.

Management should do more that provide lip service about diversity and inclusion to women and actually try to rock the boat with employees by encouraging changes in practices at work. Do not place the burden of education for staff regarding this stuff on the women who work for you.
