The women who have seniority may not support new women hires. It was a very competitive environment vs collegiate

You need to have a strong sense of self, personality and boundaries to succeed here. Originally, it was not as political as it is now. I previously felt unlimited; now, unless you are "in" with leadership, you'll be stuck.

It seems like we have a decent policy, but nothing comparable to Silicon Valley companies. I've not had the opportunity to take maternity leave, as I'm not in a relationship to do so just yet ;D

Respect work-life balance and promote based on capability, not having to prove you can "do" the level above you pre-promotion.

It's a fair employer with generous PTO and holidays as the parent company is Publicis.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. At the right level and with the right manager, this can be a good opportunity for women. Just recognize that the higher you climb, the more likely you are to be the woman behind the man who gets all the credit, dollars and promotion

The Los Angeles office is still building its culture and leadership staff, so there is room for improvement for women in leadership roles. As of roday, there aren't any women in the top leadership roles (a VP just left). However, the culture is fair to women, there is a wellness room for new mothers who need to pump, and everyone is understanding of family and personal time.

The maternity leave here is surprisingly not great. It is only 10 days. You can add up to additional 6 weeks thanks to a paid disability claim. You can also add on all of your PTO (or borrow days you will accrue for that year), but then you're stuck with not having any vacation days for the rest of the year when you return.
