"Seagate leaders have gone far to make sure my experience at this Company has been good by seeking me out for new opportunities and giving me great training. I also work with a lot of other smart and talented women. I would recommend Seagate as an employer of choice for women."

"They are trying. They have the right structure/framework in place and they are trying to abide by it. They still have the problem of culture, which honestly you are going to find anywhere, but particularly in male dominated fields like engineering. For example, you get talked over a lot during meetings and you have to choose your words carefully. I think Seagate leaders know it though and are trying to address the culture shift with things such as internal bias training and attention to ERGs. So in my mind, they get points for acknowledging it and addressing it, which is better than a lot places I've worked who pretended there wasn't a problem. They also recently implemented better leaves for parents and, pre-pandemic, had a decent work-life structure. (It's been tight now, due to restrictions in hiring but hopefully it will return to a better balanced approach as the economy improves). I'd say all things considered, it's above average. However, anyone working for Seagate should know about it's layoff culture. It's a RIF_Repeat cycle where there is a lack of psychological safety that you'll have a job 6 mo from now. "
