"It can be very political. I started out as a "favorite". I was fast tracked through promotions until I made one mistake. Despite being very accountable, admitting my mistake and accepting my punishment I fell out of favor and was pushed out. Sephora can be an amazing place to work and there are so many perks, just be careful."

"It's retail, so it depends on your coverage and how busy you are. There were times my daycare was blowing me up saying I needed to pick up my child and I physically couldn't leave because I was the only Leader in the building and would be fired if I did. However, if Leadership coverage is good it can be very easy to schedule appointments and leave early/come in late."

"I came from tech and assumed Sephora would have a Devil Wears Prada culture (I didn't know much about makeup or beauty). I was so wrong. I love my team and coworkers. The values of the company are aligned with my own, and I am proud to work for a company that champions empowerment and self-confidence for women and all our clients. "

"It of course depends on the team you're on -- I sit on the corporate communications team and we are extremely flexible. I can work from home when I need to or come in late/leave early. Since this is a company with 86% women (and 70% of our VPs are women), work-life balance is encouraged and supported by leaders. "

"Operations is the worst department for flexibility. I worked in all departments, including an interim management position and Sephora has created a culture of fear and discrimination so there really is no flexibility in the company. "
