"So, I have worked for quite a few companies. I have been around a while. But when you finally find a company that practices what they preach – a company that supports your values - - well, that is something! In today’s world, companies have choices. There are many that ignore the changes happening in our society. Or some say that they “understand” but don’t put any of that “understanding” into practice. And we know that words are merely that – words. And actions speak volumes. Since I have been at Teradata, I have seen an enormous offering of support around culture and diversity and equity and inclusion. It has surely been – and continues to be - an educational a journey for me – but one that I am glad I am on. Whether it is the Culture Champion Network that has its goal “to harness the collective power of influential employees across Teradata to accelerate change, build commitment, and transform our culture” or the multiple inclusion communities, there is a group of people here for you that are concerned about your well-being. They want to be sure that Teradata employees can bring their whole selves to work. Just recently, there was an Allyship Conference organized by Teradata volunteers - - what an amazing experience. Hearing insights from others that have had very different experiences compared to my own expanded my view of the world, gave me a greater appreciation for my coworkers and increased my compassion for others. I know that my soul was touched. Teradata is an amazing technology company. You know that. What you may not know is that it provides a great working environment, excellent benefits and possibly most importantly, the ability to work for an ethical company that really cares. As we say at Teradata, “Together really does transform us”. "

"Participate in the many inclusion groups, which are a growing thing at Teradata....they started a bit organically, and have now grown to be very supported by the leadership, but driven from ground-up employee efforts. These are wonderful venues to follow personal passions, interact with others from other countries, build your network. "

"Everyone works really hard, but when you need a bit of a breather, you can usually step away pretty easily. Sure there are deadlines that make that hard, but there's good emphasis on mental well-being. They've been really good during COVID. So the people who have kiddos running around in the background during Zoom calls..... totally okay. "
