"As a young woman starting a career in tech, Thoughtworks is a great place to be. Most of my teams have had many women on them - many have had majority women! I have had great female role models, and have been able to move into leadership positions quickly myself. However, compensation is lower than most big tech companies - it is still good, but sometimes I wonder if it is a good precent to recruit so many minorities in the world of tech to a company and then underpay them. The work-life balance can also be difficult, and I have known of many women who wanted to start families have found it difficult to balance the consulting lifestyle with having a baby."

"Thoughtworks truly cares about diversity and inclusion. We work hard to ensure we have women in leadership positions, we put energy into recruiting and supporting women. I appreciate the flexibility they have given me as I transition into parenthood, especially all the complications of that in a pandemic! At the same time, I feel they have given me so much opportunity to grow my skills, to take on more responsibilities and leadership and accelerate my career here - I have no concerns that becoming a mom and having to put more focus there this past year has or will impact my career here which is important. "I became a mother a few weeks after we went into lockdown in March 2020. When my leave was over, we still had no child care and no line of site as to when we would. Thoughtworks allowed me to work a flexible schedule coming back part time, using my vacation time, and even gave me the option of using donated vacation time from others. They allowed me to work weird hours around the babies schedule and were very supportive of me finding my way in this new world. "

"Thoughtworks is very flexible in working with parents returning to work to either find ways to get you more time if you need it, either paid or unpaid, including leveraging stored vacation time or other types of personal leaves. "

"While it's not an even split here at thoughtworks especially on the tech side of things, you will find that you are treated equally every time. You will always be listened to and if you are in a leadership position you have the opportunity to help those around you and cultivate their skills too."
