"Ultimate Software is an employer that treats all employees equally. Everyone can contribute and grow here. Hierarchies are flat and communication open. Many new hires are based on referrals from employees - that says it all!"

"Ultimate values every part of you. Your intelligence and work ethic, sure, but also your intuitiveness and sense of humor and your passion for your hobbies and your family. You're treated as an individual here and not as a cog in the machine."

"I would tell another woman to be aware that not all offices and Managers are the same. Be very wise in your job transition changes and do your homework concerning team culture, because teams are vastly different. Many, many of the employees who’ve been at Kronos for over 10 years (especially 20 years) have a great amount of pride and may communicate in a condescending way to those who don’t have the same amount of experience they have. The reality is that while Kronos can be a great place to work, it can also be stifling when dealing with attitudes and rigid metrics. Also know that team cultures are very different. Engineering is treated vastly different than Kronos Global Support. Kronos Professional Services is far different from those 2. Engineering employees have far more freedom both to do their job as professionally and creatively as possible. Engineering, Professional Services, Sales get 1 extra holiday per year. Kronos Global Support is metrics-driven. Metrics against other employees are shared so you know where you stand in relation to your peers. (Until a few years ago, Kronos Global Support engineers had a policy where if more than a few sick days were taken in a row, funds were deducted from the employee’s bonus. Thankfully, that policy stopped.) There is little flexibility in terms of what a Support engineer can and can’t do, and the personality of the Support engineer is not taken into consideration. One can be abrupt with customers (internal and external) and the next professional and empathetic to the customer’s needs. From the perspective of how women are treated at Kronos, my experience has been that while they’ve made progress in equal opportunities, there is still room for improvement. Remember that each team and each Manager is different, which could explain this. "
