"Recent policy changes have made a huge impact. The enhanced paid maternity leave finally brought the company into this century, and the unlimited sick leave is incredibly helpful and makes me feel trusted.
There is decent female representation in the corporate leadership structure, and the field seems to be getting better year over year.
The current (2019) environment has been tough with the culture of layoffs, leaving most folks in the "If I get laid off, so be it" state of mind, where it used to be the end of the world if you were losing your job at UP. I foresee this balancing out starting in 2020.
Overall, I do enjoy my job and the extracurricular activities through the Employee Resource Groups. The people you work with here become your best friends and that makes coming to work every day much easier!"

"I watched women struggle to receive the maternity leave benefits promised, prioritize their families and routinely have work-from-home and sick day requests scrutinized while my male colleagues had none of the same requests or barriers for the very same requests. Less than 10 percent of the company is female. Some locations don’t even have Women’s bathrooms available, and the personal protective equipment often doesn’t fit women."
