Some parts of the university are great towards females, and others are less-so. I do think women in academia are held to a higher standard in many fields, and that is challenging because you feel the need to constantly prove yourself, even if you already have.
One Thing Employer Could Improve
Policies need to be standardized. What is considered enough for one person should be the same for another in the same position. Everything is too subjective.
