"On a department basis, it's by and large the same. Where there is more difference is manager to manager. So make sure you pick your manager wisely by networking and doing referral calls with the team before you accept your offer. "

"Before joining, please do your research about the team and the hiring manager (look for their background, experience, do some research if they have families). Your experience is entirely dependant on your manager. My boss, boss's boss, & boss's boss's boss don't have families and hence my work life balance suffers. The culture promotes drinking and outside office hours socialization. "
