"Not a bad place to start as an entry-level. You will be given a lot of exposure and responsibility right away. That allows for you to get a better idea of your next job/move. However, you will not be compensated accordingly for the level of accountability given, you will likely be micro-managed with changes in scope constantly taking place, and need to log a lot of hours to appear to be making progress against an impossible to-do list. Promotions are becoming harder and harder to obtain, as you are required to demonstrate progress in your currently role AND acting at the ability of THE MIDDLE OF THE PACK of the next tier, for at least 6 months. Senior manager roles almost always require an MBA, yet the company's policy of supporting folks to get their MBA is laughable. Often senior manager roles are filled with new MBAs from select schools (Ivy), regardless of experience, vs promoting tenured and capable managers that don't have their MBA. Having gone to B-School, I can assure you that it doesn't automatically guarantee you'll be successful. Assoc Directors and above need not apply unless you are from a tier 1 business school and worked for McBainGroup (McKinsey, Bain or BCG). My department was almost all women (expect for the male director sitting at the top) so one would have thought there would be comradely and support, but mostly just ppl trying to climb over each other for visibility and ratings (Wayfair uses stack ranking and required bell curves during reviews so there can only be one #1). The company claims diversity between genders, but pull back one layer and that goes amiss. The engineering group is nearly all male, while the merchandising or HR teams are nearly all female. If they did that report based on salary, it would most likely be quite skewed as engineering salaries are quite a bit higher than other teams. Lastly, no women in the C-suite (maybe will change with the COO and CTO leaving - not holding my breath), and only 2-3 female VPs from about 16 in the company (this could have changed since I left). "The company just upped the policy from 12 weeks to primary caregiver and 2 weeks to secondary to 16 weeks and 6 weeks. However, they made this change arbitrarily in the middle of the year and did not grandfather anyone that has been on leave prior to the day it was released. I came back from maternity leave a week before it was changed and all HR has to say was, in (my own) laymans terms, too bad. "
