I'm leaving a job 4 weeks before giving a birth
Hello, I'm pregnant (almost 37 weeks) and my last working day was May 11th, 2018. My question is, how should I apply for payment, filing NYSIF DB-450 or somehow else?? If Yes, when should I file, now or after giving a birth? Who is gonna pay me after I'll give a birth, NYS or directly my employer?? Will I have problems if my employer won't agree to pay?
Maternity leave benefits when working remotely out of state?
My employer is located in California. I have recently moved out of state and am working remotely with visits back every other week. Will I receive CA maternity leave benefits or my state of residence?
Severance while on maternity leave
My employer will be closing its doors at the end of this year and I have been offered a severance if I stay until the last day. Unfortunately I will be 6 weeks into maternity leave at that point (too early to tell HR I'm pregnant though). Are employees on maternity leave and FMLA considered active employees? Will I get the severance even if I am not in the office on the last day? Will my maternity leave be cut short on the last day? Would the government consider me unemployed or disabled at that point? Could I collect unemployment? Help!
New Job and 1 year mark
I’m ready to try for baby #2 but recently started a new job. I’m trying to time due date with being there for 1 year but what if the baby comes early? For example, i’ll be at my job for 1 year on February. 26th. What if my baby is due in March but comes in February? (My first came early). Will I still get FMLA or any maternity benefits or job security?
are you required to be lawfully married for paternity leave to apply/
