I pose this question because I feel often times many of us hide behind a title instead of showing our true selves. When I meet someone for the first time, they usually ask - "What do you do for a living"? When I was out of work I found it difficult even embarrassing to say I'm working on that. So why was I hesitant to say that I am not employed but looking for my next career? Maybe because I was letting my career dominate who I really am. For example, I could elaborate on all the ways I like to help people because that clearly defines more about me than my career ever would. What's your thoughts?
