I feel like a failure after getting terminated by my job (even though I desperately wanted to quit)…

Hi everyone, So just a little backstory here: I have been at this laboratory job for a little over a year and at first things were great until they weren’t…the weekend and holiday schedule began to become too much for me to handle and I received a verbal warning last month due to its lasting effects on me and my mental health. All of my supervisors points were 100% valid. I apologized every time I thought it was appropriate. I thought I was making positive changes but I guess that didn’t matter in the end… I actually did have a couple interviews that I had to take time off for. It was either I miss my interviews for my work or vice versa and I went with the latter. Well I had an interview today that I feel like I absolutely nailed and it seems to me like I will be moving on to the next steps given the interviewer’s reaction to my answers. My boss called me right before I walked into my interview and I chose to ignore it then (which wound up being the right choice, I didn’t lose my moxie that I had worked so hard to build up). When I finally did call back my boss, she had said that after a failure to improve my performance (which again, I thought the opposite was happening) that she thought it was best that we part ways. Even though I wanted to quit that job so many times before this incident, I still feel like a complete failure. I feel like I royally *$*$ed up. I feel like I let everyone down including myself, but more importantly my loved ones. I feel like both a success and a failure all at once and it sucks. What I want to hear from you all is will this affect my ability to get a new job? How do I stop feeling like a complete failure in this situation? How do I move forward? I’m lost and I’m scared…
