Choose your boss, not the job. So many times when job searching and interviewing, we weigh criteria such as salary, benefits, scope of the role. But your supervisor is going to be the one who can help open or close doors for you down the road. Don't underestimate the value of a great boss!

I love that! Your boss matters just as much as the job. Yes!!! Great advice.

You are interviewing the potential company/boss just as much as they are interviewing you. Be sure that it’s a good fit on both sides

"Do it now!"
Years ago, my boss asked me what my career goal was. At that time, I wanted to live and work overseas as an expat, leading an international location.
Her response was, "Why wait? Do it now!" That was not an encouragement to apply for a VP role (I was a PM at the time), but to figure out how I could live and work overseas, and lead a team instead.
Within less than a year I was living and working abroad building and leading teams.
What she planted in me was a seed to stop thinking about my goals so far away, and figure out how I can do it now where I am. Tomorrow is NOT promised - DO IT NOW!
