I left my job during the pandemic and chose to pivot my career slightly (from investment management to fintech). I know that my last role paid WELL above the market, but it is also because my job was taxing and demanding every waking hour. I've been now interviewing for opportunities for companies that are interesting, but their salary ranges are at least 30-40% less of my base salary at my last job. I've been in the industry for 10+ years (so not coming out of college). I don't want to desperate during these uncertain economic times and take whatever job that gives me an offer, but I also don't want to short-change myself in a role just because of a recession. I don't want to job hop again in the near future. Any advice would be great in this journey. Thank you in advance!
