I'm noticing more jobs in HR posting and I would like to know if I could use my experience in marketing management to transition to HR?
While working as a Marketing Director, I've hired, worked with HR to promote positions and provided team development. Since marketing jobs are at a standstill in my area, I wanted to move into a more lucrative career. I'd appreciate your advice, what level to apply for and what's the best way to position myself?

Not necessarily a dream job, but a job that paid well, treated you respectfully and allowed you to work with pride. Oh and have a true work life balance, so that you could raise your children and pursue interests in peace. I am looking for realistic life inspiration for myself!

Are you currently employed? If so, and you have a genuine interest to get into HR, take some time to truly understand the HR role and what specific role in HR you'd like to get into and seek to gain knowledge in that area - maybe a certification or a couple of classes or something. HR is definitely not hiring, promoting positions (?), and development. There is A LOT more to it than that. Maybe explore HR communications - although when cuts are made, that's among the first to go.

While I would never want to discourage someone from following their dreams, I would not recommend this as the best time to try to transition into HR.
HR and Talent Acquisition have been decimated in the layoffs these last two years so you would be competing against very qualified experienced jobseekers.
