Two steps forward, one step back

May is my birth month, and I turned 60. Thought it was time to try again, I really don't like having the figure my mom had, at this age. I've been slim all my life, due to swimming, fencing and sharing a table with five brothers and sisters, on a very limited income. Trouble is, the weight really snuck up on me after I had my wonderful daughter. I can't blame her for 'baby fat', as she just turned 30 (we're exactly 30 years apart). So, in May, I went Keto. It's a wonderful platform, and it works. I was sitting on 230 pounds when I started, and I'm down to 217. But it's hard. My husband, bless his heart, is proud of me, but .... He wanted pizza. He's been talking about it all week. This holiday weekend, he brought some home. He's sweet, but pizza doesn't really fit the Keto lifestyle. He brought me a small gluten free crust, and I ate it. The entire thing. Woke up on Monday, and the scale said, "dummy - you're at 220 now." So bummed. I climbed up back on the wagon, a little bruised, but back at it. Just wanted to share.

Well done for working on losing weight. Please remember you will have ups and downs with your weight. Sometimes it can be water weight that you never realized that you were holding on to. You are doing way better than me - so keep taking the baby steps and you will reach your goal sooner than many other people.
