Go thru your resume and LI profile to make sure that all verbiage is current, modern verbiage, nothing hanging around from before the last couple of years. If you need help with that, have a convo with Bard or ChatGPT to help you pick up the new lingo by giving them a job description you're interested in, give them yours to revise, and see what comes up. ONLY do NOT use that version. You'll need to add your spin to it and make it sound like you, not a robot. Good luck.

Have you redone your resume talking about your skills and accomplishments? I would focus on soft skills/transferrable skills that aren't specifically banking related. I too came out of the banking industry. I was out of work for a couple of years. While I was looking, I substitute taught and went back to school and got my MBA. These are the things that led to my next position and I'm moving forward from there. I did not make as much money as I did as a banker, but full-time employment with benefits was my goal. I'm sure I missed out on some opportunities early on while interviewing when the salary wasn't what I was expecting but ultimately it worked out. Take advantage of your network and look for opportunities for job search assistance. In Michigan we have Michigan Works which helps people get back to full-time employment. You've got this!
