I have been working in politics for the past 7 years, and have had relative success.
However I have found it very draining. The constant conflicts and crises and being available 24 hours saps my energy meaning I have very little energy to do the thing I love, like going on adventures or spending time with those I'm close with.
I am enneagram 9, and many experts warn against a career in politics, because it drains you. Some people suggest something like coaching, and I am busy growing my knowledge and experience in this field, to create a possible future career path.
However, simply planning to leave a stable financial situation for uncertain financial future n coaching is daunting.
Has anyone has a similar experience, or any advice or you view from the outside?
