What strategies can I use to make myself more visible to my supervisors and demonstrate my value to the company to increase my chances of getting a promotion?

Hello everyone, just want to say I appreciate this platform and all stories I hear that make me feel not alone in all the scary, beautiful, frustrating and fulfilling parts of work.
I do have a question though about job offers. Whats the longest you have had to wait to hear back from a job offer? I am currently in a 2 month stand still with two companies and they from time to time keep calling to ask follow up questions. I just don't understand why. I just want to know if its a lost cause or have people finally got offered jobs they've waited months for. Thank yall!

I reached out to a recruiter from a staffing agency who is apparently looking to fill a contract position.
The recruiter asks me what are good times to call, I sent her my whole week schedule listing specific dates and times I am available for a call. Instead she emails me and says if I can talk a different time which I am not available. I do have a full time job right now but am searching other opportunities. My calendar is unfortunately a little packed for a Thursday. She didn’t send me a job description or anything specific about the job either. Is this already a red flag? I read about staffing agency online and they have bad reviews.

Why do people ghost candidates that they have interviewed?
I had an interview recently, sent a thoughtful thank you email and have heard nothing. Isn't that rude?

I could use some ideas.
I have applied and applied. I have had recruiters, head hunters, HR and everyone in between make sure my resume is great. I apply to positions that seem like a good fit, I tailor my resume, I write cover letters and nothing. Recently I applied to a position that is literally what I've been doing for 10 years, have a Masters degree in and was told my skills and background don't match what they are looking for. It feels like there is this invisible barrier and I don't know how to get through it. Any tips, ideas, tricks anything is highly welcomed, thank you!

I've been looking for a position for four months and feeling pretty defeated.
I signed a contract with a company who reneged two days before I was to start. Now I just had a three round interview and was passed over. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Boo!
