How do you delegate in other to meet your deadlines? Do you saddle yourself with a lot of responsibilities because you do not know how to say, NO? I can tell you when the chips are down, no one would remember that you are hardworking.
You can either delegate downwards to your subordinates or upwards to your superiors. When it comes to upward delegation you need to be tactical and let the other party know it is for the benefit of the team to get an efficient result.
Before now, I was always taking on a lot of responsibility to the detriment of my health, productivity and efficiency on the job, while my team members pretend as if they cant see the workload I have been saddled with. This taught me that if you don't ask for help, people might not know you need it. You need to reach out. Don't assume they should know you need it.
