Changing behavior is hard. If it were easy, none of us would have any type of coping mechanism that wasn't good for us. A few years ago I worked for a very well known wellness company who has a proven method of helping people improve their health via weight loss. At the time we were focused on implementing a stronger focus on the habits that surround weight loss. The program always referred to habits, like getting in the habit of tracking or logging food, water and activity. Since behavior change is a significant part of any change, the company brought in behavior change expert, BJ Fogg and Tiny Habits (https://www.tinyhabits.com/join) . Here's how it works: lets say you want to exercise regularly and go to the gym. But you haven't done this ever ... or in a very long time. The first week, you walk on the block or drive down the block the gym is on. Don't go in, but just drive passed it. Next week go to the gym parking lot and sit there for a few minutes (or walk by and touch the door handle). The following week go into the reception area. The next week, go in and use the restroom. I have a moral quandary I'd love some insight on. I spent all fall legally breaking my company into entities. Recently, my small company divested of one of those entities, and that entity wants me to come work for them. There is nothing against it in the inter-company agreement. I feel a great loyalty to my boss, but don't have much confidence in Senior Leadership and this new offer is infinitely more fun (although along the same lines) as my current job. So, we'd haveto handle the transition carefully so as not to damage relationships. What would you do? Are there any other factors I'm omitting to consider? Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and expertise.

I accepted a position, signed the offer letter, back in January that I found through a recruiting firm, however, I have yet to start due to some internal delays and dont want to burn bridges with the recruiter, as they are large, and may need them down the road.
In all fairness, I did know that I was going to start at least March 1, but here we are and I haven’t started and now I’m being told sometime in March .In the meantime, a former colleague reached out, said he’s got a position open for me (that I would much rather have) and they are ready for me to start now. What do I do? Thank you for all of your advice everyone.

I have been in my position for over a year, gone above and beyond whenever asked, volunteered to take on additional responsibilities and am delivering unprecedented results at a rate of 2x the previous person in this position who did not take on any additional responsibilities.
I was promised a review and raise at six months; however, the company started a restructuring and it was tabled. Approaching my one year anniversary, I requested my review from my new Director and was told that she will review me after SHE has been there for a year. I then created a self-evaluation form, completed it and included forms to solicit input from managers and supervisors who could attest to my performance over the past year. I received the response that while appreciated, I was not hired to give HR input and they are not going to give me an annual review. Since that time, I have witnessed two male counterparts be given promotions with raises. Surely the Director met with them to do this. Now my position, for a nearby location with this company, is being advertised starting at a higher pay rate than mine. How do I again respectfully request my review and an appropriate pay increase? Love what I do, but am becoming more and more resentful of being used to perform duties above my paygrade and delivering results that make my Director look good while I am her "secret weapon" kept in the shadows.
