Executive assistant living in the Chicago area going on 6 years. I worked for a consulting firm for 5 years and was fired Oct '19 for being the wrong fit for a partner. A month later landed on my feet supporting executives at a financial firm. I was laid off this week due to Covid.
While I am not alone in feeling financially stressed or stressed over the layoff, I am feeling particularly down that I only had the job for under 7 months - and I'm the "bread winner."
Any tips for keeping positive? Or just muscle through it?
