Hi ladies & fellow mama's! I'm a 39yo VP in SaaS tech and am looking at opportunities that bring me to the C-suite or one small step away from it. At the end of my CV I have a personal section of About Me - descriptions of what makes me human. I've left out the fact that I'm a Mom (of two very littles), which is something that frankly feels like it defines my personality more and more every day - especially this year. And I LOVE being a Mom too! However, I just believe/am afraid of the assumptions that male 40-yr old CXOs in tech might make if they see "Mom" in the descriptors. I see plenty of male CXOs call out "father" in their LinkedIn descriptions, but I don't feel free to do the same without fear of judgement (e.g. availability, hours worked, etc). What do you ladies think? Would you list it? How would you label/name it - something pithy to draw a chuckle instead of a judgement?
Here is what it reads like now: "About Me: Leader. Builder. Creator. PTA Board Treasurer & President. Short and Long-term Property Manager. Etsy Store Owner. Runner. Sailor. Rower. Traveler. Photographer. Home Remodeler & DIY’er."
