Employment verification question:
When a potential employer calls a past employer for verification of employment, how much can they tell the inquirer?
For example, when they ask the question, “Would you rehire him/her?”.
Personally, I’m asking because I had to leave a job unexpectedly without notice. I’m worried that the prior employer will say no. I didn’t leave under bad terms and my work was always above and beyond.
What is your experience? What advice do you have when I interview with new employers? It’s a case of should I or shouldn’t I say something to explain.
