Between record-high unemployment numbers, the tragic losses of family, friends and community members, and the impact of isolation and burnout on women struggling to balance elder care, child care and their own careers, I feel strange saying "Happy Women's History Month" this year.
So paired with this month's celebration, we're also taking action:
- We've offered mentorship to women who lost their jobs due to COVID and are working with them to help them find a new job they love.
- We're using our voice and this platform to advocate for flexible work environments, equal pay, and paid parental leave.
- We're sharing insight into what millions of women want in the workplace to help employers create more equitable workplaces for everyone.
None of this would be possible without everyone in this community. So thank you everyone.
And for this Women's History Month, let's not only reflect on the progress that's been made, but focus on what still needs to be done. Our work is just getting started!
