Thanks for the encouragement! Hopefully, this opens some of the members' minds to creative solutions in their own companies.
I was also able to do something similar in the past. You never know if some creative solution to a recurring issue will be well-received until you propose it! This is a good answer to "job security" in those companies valuing this type of problem-solving, and can, at least in some cases I am familiar with, lead to significantly increased compensation, as value is added to the company and fellow employees.
