I received an offer letter for a consulting position, we negotiated, but then I was told it could not be finalized because they were waiting on the client agreement. Realizing that there was a chance this could fall through, I continued to apply for other jobs. I found a great opportunity with a successful company and I am moving to the final stages of the interview process. I was told they want to finalize the decision this week.
I just heard from the first company and it sounds like they are close to signing the client.
I am not sure what I should do. The first company is aware that I was applying for other jobs. Is it inappropriate to ask for more time before accepting or declining?
