Lifestyle & Relationships

There is a cost to the things we hang onto.

There is a cost to the things we hang onto. Sometimes it’s an emotional, spiritual, or even cost of positive energy. Whether that’s a job where you’ve been laid off or someplace where you invested your time. Let it go. 1) Let go of the Story What is the story you keep replaying? That inner narrative that can keep you up at night. You can replace the old story with something more positive at any time. Need help rewriting: What happened? How did it make you feel? What did you learn? Lessons Learned = Growth 2) Let go of stuff We take on so many things because we believe that this thing, this experience, will make us happy. By continuing to search outside of ourselves for happiness or connection we will always be left wanting more. 3) Let go of busyness Many people I talk to are on overload. Sometimes the best way to have more time, connection, freedom is to commit less. Your life is your story. You write the narrative. The way to let go of anything holding you back is to reclaim truth and move on. Acknowledge any lessons learned. Fill your life with things that bring you joy and inspires you to be the best version of yourself. Let your values drive you. As the world is in chaos, only keep the positive energy. Is this helpful?

This was great! thank you for sharing. Holding a grudge or resentment, we are the only ones carrying that emotional burden, it definitely feels a million times more freeing as well as empowering to just take control of the negative emotions and let things go.

I love this! Thank you for sharing :) This definitely something my post-graduate self needed to hear. I spent a while feeling sad, frustrated, and disappointed in myself until I realized I needed to let go of the past and embrace the present, even if it is not what I planned for myself. Holding on to the past was keeping me from making new memories and opening new doors.

Make lemonade out of lemons. While it's a cliche, that ability to adapt and pivot is so impotant right now.

Love this, especially #1. The stories we tell ourselves are so powerful... and often not true.

True Story, lol. Seriously, you can rewrite the narrative anytime to be more about what you learned.

Love it! The weight of everything we can carry is physically, mentally and emotionally crippling. Thank you for the reminder to be mindful of what I have weighing me down
