I read this book by Meyer and it was amazing! Now I know Twilight is a story that many love to hate, but at the old age of 22, I've come to accept my love for the series as guilty pleasure. I mean, I could do much better obviously ?.
Now back to the story. Edward Cullen becomes the protagonist here. He tells us how he fell in love with a human girl who would rather have made very good dinner as she was especially appealing to him. The story is considerably darker as we actually realize how close Bella came to becoming a drained corpse. A recurring theme throughout this novel is Edward's self-control and anxiety.
I honestly appreciated him better as a person (figuratively) who denied his own nature and challenged strong alliances to keep the girl he loved alive.
Very vivid storytelling; I mean, we can always count on Stephenie Meyer to make us forget reality for a few hours (or days).
