Contacted for a seat on an advisory board - any HR personnel or employees have advice for interview?
Hello! I've been on non profit boards but never a paid advisory board role. I was contacted via linkedin, through an intermediary called boardsi. I've scheduled an initial call. Can someone shed light on their experiences with boardsi and these types of initial calls? Is it usual not to receive any information beforehand?
What advice would you have on interviewing? Thank you!

Boardsi will ask you to subscribe to their service and will share opportunities that may or may not be a fit and may or may not offset the subscription fee you pay. You’re better off joining Private Directors Association or National association of Corporate Directors. Better yet, share your board resume with exec and board search firms directly to be added to their “stable” of talent.

Just be on the alert for scam. A quick google of boardsi brings up a lot of red flags.
