Worrying about kids' fitness, learning, summer camps, all the above
Is anyone else out there constantly trying to figure out how much time to spend with their kids while working? Mine are elementary-school aged and I oscillate between thinking they are just fine and can skip a few weeks (or months) of school and that this is unacceptable and I must step it up. Sometimes my worries are also about their anxiety and whether they have any and also whether they're getting enough socializing (at least mine have siblings) and physical exercise. But at the same time, I really don't have the ability to worry about any of this because I'm fighting to keep my job on a daily basis and think that its more important for mommy to be bringing home a check than necessarily whether they are doing as much science as they should. PS Science over video conference doesn't really work for little kids. Just my two cents. Rant over.
