I have really bad circulation and it shows. What would you do?

Thanks to my genetics, I have a high risk of developing a lot of unwanted, colorful veins. Age and pregnancy speeds up receiving more unwanted dark veins that’s very prominent around my legs. I honestly love my legs but in now finding myself covering them up, especially throughout the summer. I’ve been recommended to wear compression socks throughout pregnancy, on planes and generally whenever I can to prevent more blood clots. These socks apply steady pressure to help move the blood back to your heart. The steady pressure also lessens swelling in your lower legs and reduces the risk of getting a blood clot. They’re the opposite of fashionable but it’s something I need to live with. I’ve been thinking more and more about receiving a laser treatment to reduce the coloring in my legs. I’ve never been a cosmetic surgery person but it’s getting so bad that I’m highly considering it. If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

Do we have the same legs?! :-) I have so many thoughts on this one: 1. Until you pull the trigger on a cosmetic route, sunless tanner will minimize the look of your veins and allow you to bring your money makers out to shine this summer. I highly recommend Chocolate Sun | Organic Skin Care & Natural Sunless Tanning Products. (It's fancy, and dang, they don't even smell bad like typical sunless tanners do. 2. https://www.realself.com/reviews. Real Self is a site specializing in peer-reviewed cosmetic procedures with rankings from people who have already done what we're considering. At the top of the page, you can click on the "legs" icon to discover viable and worthy options. 3. Essential oils. Ginger, Cypress, and Eucalyptus appear to be the best for promoting circulation. I have Ginger CO2 because I had once read that it's more powerful than the ginger essential oil counterpart and I must say that I put too much on and couldn't handle the extreme warming sensation it caused. I need to try again with a way less generous "serving size". Here is an article from one of my favorite nebulizing diffuser companies on the essential oil circulation topic. https://organicaromas.com/blogs/aromatherapy-and-essential-oils/3-essential-oils-to-improve-circulation 4. Finally, these are a fortune which is why I haven't yet pulled the trigger, but since circulation affects friggen' everything, I'm highly considering acquiring a Leg Recovery System like athletes use. For example, NormaTec. I only have circulation issues from the waist down so I know what healthy circulation looks like and I crave the experience for my entire body. Let us know what you decide to do/discover as you proceed. I would love to know anything you stumble upon on your leg quest.

If the surgery would make you happy in your own skin, I would say, go for it!

I have the same issue! Question for ya... have you received a price quote before? I’ve always wondered how much a procedure like this would cost.

Great question. The consultation fee was $200 but if you get the laser treatment it was quoted as $400, which includes the consultation fee. So $400 total which was surprisingly much lower than I predicted.

i wouldn’t feel bad if you choose to go the laser surgery route. It sounds like you have great legs and being comfortable with showing them off might be important to you which is absolutely understandable!
