All That Jazz

I've always used music to lift my spirits. Now, more than ever, I've been turning to music as my "escape" from today's news. Here is a challenge, for anyone who is interested: listen to some music every day. Okay, that's too easy. Listen to a different style of music everyday. For example, today I put on New Orleans jazz. I usually have classical playing, so this seems a lot like a vacation to me. Tomorrow I'm going to try Country Western. Then, who knows? How about you? What music will you listen to today - that's different from what you normally listen to? Reward? Lifted spirits, and a calm soul. Who's in?

I have the SiriusXM app on my phone and Firestick. I typically listen to a comedy show, such as Jeff and Larry's Comedy Roundup. But now that I'm working remotely I noticed there is a new channel called Work from Home and it has a variety of music styles. So now I alternate between Slow Dance Country, Mellow Hits from the 80s and Mellow Hits from the 90s. It's not too much for working, keeps me on pace and I might sing along.

I have been in a calm soul state during these days, and found something very interesting that feels really good when listening, and never heard before, this is called healing music, which is music in 432 hz frequency.

I've heard of that. Thanks for reminding me. I think I'll check it!

I'm subscribed to a Song of the Day podcast that's constantly sending me different music on a regular basis, so that's been nice! I've been revisiting Vitamin String Quartet when I need a break as well.

I wandered into the heavy metal and goth European bands on YouTube. There are some amazing videos that seem to resonate with the times. Strangely cathartic. My usual music is Celtic, Old Time, and Americana. Have fun, and let us know what you discover!
