I have a extensive background as a Administrative Assistant. My last job was a Administrative Assistant at a commercial property company that quickly grew to me make sales on the spaces we had available, completing credit checks. Scheduling repairs for the single family homes we had. Modifying and editing leases. Handling complaints you name it! Paying bills through quickbooks. I was the property manager in absence of the manager. I didn’t get paid that much and the commute was more than I should have been driving but I loved loved the job!
I have always wanted to own a commercial building and rent out the spaces but I don’t have that kind of money.
I’m interested in getting back in the field but noticed that having a real estate license is becoming more desired for that particular position. Do you suggest getting my real estate license? Does anyone have experience in this industry? I wouldn’t mind being a real estate agent either but I’ve seen that it’s pretty much 100% commission that would be new for me.
I recently went to target for a job fair to get a temp holiday job that is in walking distance to my home and kids school. I was quickly moved through the process the last process was a interview I waited for a hour the girl who was supposed to interview me was behind the wall engaged in a conversation about her date the night prior. The interviewer was told 4 times she had a interview and she laughed and said “I’m trying to finish my story” I walked out and let the people know near the target door passing out flyer. I got in the car and said I Need A Career! I just got in my 30s and I’m in a weird time in my life. If I go back to school I’ll be paying out of pocket I’m fine with that.
