I work as a funding coordinator and I recently had a baby, I was out of work for 3 months with no maternity leave, I read an article from my state that in order to get maternity leave the company had to have certain amount of employees, our company basically have 2, me and the CEO the rest of the employees are in call centers over sea in foreign countries, long story short, after having my baby, I strongly consider getting back to work within a year or two, I had a complicated pregnancy and c section and after 11 years of trying to have a baby and happy that finally happen, I want to enjoy the baby as much as possible. I have my own space at work and office and since my boss was rushing me to get back to work, I put as condition to bring my baby since I wasn't getting no maternity leave and he wanted me to come back before my expected date, I also considered just finding a work from home since I knew my baby was gonna grow up and daycare was not gonna be an option, since he was born premature and so small, Now that I'm 3 months back at work he suggested me to work from home, commission only taking away my salary, he also mentioned that as much as he loves my baby he doesn't expect me to raised him in my office and that I can come to work and get pay on those days that I can find a baby sitter, which makes no sense to come work 2-3 days get pay and pay someone to babysitter for those 2-3 days. A lot has change in the company that I'm not comfortable with commission only, So I told him, No. That was not gonna work for me, I strongly suggested him to just find someone else and that I would find another job, He then came back and said, ok. I don't want you to be upset, which I
think I couldn't hide it, But now I'm just not comfortable Should I just find another job, from home as I had already planned or stay with my baby as he suggest that everything would stay the same.
