I want to start again as soon as baby is old enough to sit in a jogger. For me, it’s about mental health so I don’t work out super hard, just 2-3 miles jogs.

I work out 4-5 times a week, always giving my body a chance to recover every 2-3 days of working out. I know people that workout every single day or only take a day off every few weeks... if you're going this route - make sure you have "active" recovery days; those are days you're still at the gym but taking it easy. If you go hard every single day and not letting your muscles to rest and rebuild, you'll likely get an injury that will put you out weeks or even months and totally backslide whatever fitness goals you have. I know this from first-hand experience having hit the gym hard every day a couple years ago only to tear my Achilles and be out of commission for 6 months. Just always listen to your body! And make sure you're getting plenty of sleep!

I work out 6 days/week. For me, I have found a great balance between 3 days of week strength training and then 3 days a week cardio (usually running). I am up at 5 am in order to be at the gym at 5:30 on strength days - this is brutal for some people but I really enjoy my gym buds and running partner so we motivate each other to be there!

Agree, Heather! Working out can mean many things and should include some cardio, some core/strength, some balance, and some stretching. Key thing is to keep moving.

Walking 12, 18, 20 minutes everday. Your body gets bored like a teenager. Always trying to think of something new.

I go to about 4 days of CrossFit every week and in the other days, I'll do yoga, or a quick run. I think an active lifestyle is super important. It helps with stress, clear your mind, and also helps make you feel a sense of accomplishment (at least for me it does).

I don't know if it's too much, but with my schedule I can't seem to muster up the time to work out every day...

Props to you for working out every day - that's amazing! I aim for 5-6 days per week depending on what's going on in my schedule. When I work out every day my muscles are sore and a little sore is good but I don't think every day sore is supposed to happen. I have a "healthy" rest day and make sure I do something like a walk or taking dogs to park. Give yourself some R & R to avoid injury. Good job!

I work out every day but I've built up to that point over the years. I also take easy days where my workout is more along the lines of yoga or an easy paced jog/bike ride/swim. Doing too much too fast will lead to injury, but our bodies were made to do work! If you keep up a consistent habit, you'll be amazed at what your body is capable of doing.
