See my daughter following in my footsteps and it frightens me
I started a family young, while still in college and put my studies, work aspirations and self on a back burner. Once I've decided to climb the corporate ladder again, it has taken over a decade to achieve my prior career status. My daughter has recently started her family and comments on how difficult it is to juggle being a wife, a mom, an employee and a full-time student. She has commented on more than one occasion she thinking about stopping her dual master program to focus on her family.
I don't want her to stop because we know from studies majority of women that stop don't finish their studies. I listen with a supportive ear but want advise on how to discuss the subject. I thought about explaining my career experience but worried that she may misinterpret and feel like the family was a burden.
