How often do you wash your hair??

My coworker and I were just discussing how she washes her hair everyday while I try to do it every other day (sometimes push 3 but I def need dry shampoo). I've been trying to "train" my hair to wash it less but it hasn't been easy (and sometimes greasy)... what about you ladies?

I wash my hair twice, 3 times a week at most! I have very straight, born again virgin hair. Its not think or thin, but I have a lot of it. I don't usually wash it after I work out bc it doesn't get greasy just bc I went for a run - I think that has to do with how much you sweat too and I am not a big sweater (ha!) Once my hair does get greasy, I will use dry shampoo or an updo style (braids usually) to get another day out of it. Also, I don't use grease as an indicator of when to wash it - I wash it when it gets heavy in a ponytail.

If I don't wash my hair daily, I look like a greaseball. Usually only skip 1 day per week on a Friday night or Saturday.

Completely depends on your hair type and lifestyle. When I was younger, I had to wash it every day. Now, it's normally every 3 days and I work out daily, but my hair is also color-treated, so the ends get very dry. Sometimes I use dry shampoo to get an extra day and always add oil to my ends. Do what works for you!

Totally depends on the kind of hair you have. My hair is thick and naturally curly, so I'm lucky that I can go 3-4 days without washing it before it looks greasy. I tend to wash it every other day, though, especially if I've worked out.

Usually daily. If i try for every other day, there is lots of dry shampoo involved or it looks like I took a bath in EVOO!

I can't go more than about 3 days because I work out and put product in my hair to tame frizz which makes it dull and weird after sleeping on it.

I "co-wash" using conditioner instead of shampoo, usually every 2-3 days. I've never been able to go much past 3 before it gets greasy, even after years of avoiding shampoo. I never got it trained!

So, conditioner is pretty good at removing oil without stripping all the goodness, so I just use it on my scalp like shampoo. Renpure makes a special cleansing conditioner, but you can use whatever. I add some essential oils like rosemary & tea tree, which kill germs & keep dandruff in check. You're not supposed to use products with silicone/dimethicone, which is most things (!), but I cheat and use shampoo once a month or so to remove any buildup.

I think it depends on what kind of hair you have. I know person who has thick and curly hair and she washes them just once a week (and it would never be visible if her hair greasy or not), but if you have not too much hair and they are silky and thin the greasiness would be visible even at the end of day. So, I mean, do whatever is comfortable for you and make you look great!
