WHAT’S PULLING YOU AWAY FROM THE THING YOU DO BEST?
Not too long ago I was being pulled in way too many directions. Tech, landing pages, and knickknacky things were taking so much of my time and energy. It felt like what I really love doing (career and mindset coaching) was being put on the back burner.
Luckily, I started working with an amazing business coach (yes, coaches have coaches) and she helped me simplify my business so I could truly focus on serving.
So, when I was recently on a virtual meet-up with some amazing working moms, and this topic came up, it really resonated.
The leader of the group, Lauren Riezman (Head of Communications at H&M), said that when she feels scattered, and like she’s doing everything but getting nothing accomplished, she asks herself this question:
What’s pulling me away from the thing I do best?
Ask yourself the same thing. And if your schedule, work...hell, even your life, need a little reworking, DO IT! If you’re not sure how...reach out to me.

Kelli, thank you. I love this. I just came to distract myself from all my overwhelm, and I saw your post, and it's exactly what I needed. I just wrote down "What's pulling me away from the thing I do best?" ... thank you for the focus!

Hello Keli,
I believe what keeps me from doing my best is myself. I am very good at discouraging myself out of completing tasks or moving forward. It has taken a lot of concerted with meditation and centering myself to be able to find my self worth and move forward. It's been a struggle but I persevere! Great motivating read. Thank you for asking.
Sincerely,
Katrina

This whole post was great Kelli, but what I really loved was that short but potent line of "yes coaches have coaches". I think we do not share enough that yes teachers + coaches also have teachers and coaches, myself included. Glad to hear you found a good one and focusing on what you love!

Thank you, Meg. You're right...we need to be more upfront about how we educate ourselves. Coaches have been critical to my success.
