Job Seeking

I have been job searching for eleven consecutive years, despite my best efforts. Prior to 2008, I had an easy time obtaining full-time, permanent jobs (and never had to endure the low-wage work environment). After 2008, that "luck" mysteriously changed. At this point in time, is it even possible to get a normal job? If so, with a low-income, how?

Not knowing your industry or field, have you ever tried a headhunter or some kind of program where you can do a mock interview and receive feedback? I have a colleague who utilized a headhunter who redid the resume, evaluated & critiqued their interviewing skills . Not to discourage you, but sometimes I feel like employers like to employ people who are employed and when you don't have something current on your resume, candidates get overlooked. Is temp work available in your field? Temp companies often help with the interviewing as well. I've seen people bomb at interviews, yet be amazing at their job and vice versa, I've wondered if the person I interviewed has swapped bodies with the person who showed up for work. Good luck!
