Going camping for the first time this weekend...

I’m camping on the northeast coast this weekend! It’s should be sunny all weekend with a high of 90s and low of 70s. I haven’t packed yet and am looking for advice! From outfits to camping food (and whatever else I’m missing like bug spray)... what should I bring??

If you'll be cooking don't forget all the cooking utensils and dish soap if you need to be cleaning any dishes or pans. A can opener and a corkscrew. Bring something in case it rains. Be prepared in case it thunderstorms. An umbrella to get out of the sun. Some sort of lighting. Not sure if you're camping in a trailer, cabin or tents. Are you bringing air mattresses? Do you have a mini compressor? Patching in case of a hole? I woke up on the ground one time. So uncomfortable. Lint roller to remove ticks from your clothing. Not sure if it works but bundles of sage in your campfire may help keep mosquitoes away. Here is website that has some great tips. https://kitchenfunwithmy3sons.com/camping-ideas-gear-tips-and-tricks/

Not sure if you'll be showering there or not but SHOWER SHOES/flip flops and a towel. Easy things to forget and you don't want to go in there barefoot. I also like to bring fold up chairs because sites don't always have benches and it makes it easier if you want to sit around a fire. You should also bring firewood, or fire starter, lots of water (in case the camp doesn't have a water station), bug spray & sun screen, hat, and comfy shoes & clothes (nothing you'd mind getting dirty).

I also like to bring a small string bag to bring with me on any hikes I might do while camping!

Wet ones, make up wipes, sunscreen, a light jacket, plenty of water and protein bars/nuts/snacks!
